Our Story
It started with a Farmhouse.

I grew up on a family farm in the Willamette Valley. I was not good at farm work, but it was quickly established that I could cook. Being in charge of breakfast on weekends and dinner during the week led me to get my Culinary Degree. That degree took me to Vienna, Austria, to live with a family as their au pair. After two years, I returned to the Willamette Valley. I married and started a bachelor's program in Business at Western Oregon University.

Work and school brought my husband and me to Vancouver, WA in 2002 settling into Hazel Dell. We started our family as I finished my BA in Business at Portland State University. While raising our children, I dabbled in consulting and office management, while volunteering in the local community.

During the pandemic, I started my Master’s in Business Administration at Eastern Washington University and finished in 2023. The next thing for me was to have my own business. I am so happy to be going back to my roots in working in a farmhouse, especially the Padden House! I can’t wait to bring my family’s favorites to Clark County in the Padden House.

An online article for Clark County Talk that takes you inside the story of the bakery!
